Problem Note 48487: "Automatically open data when added to the project" must be enabled in order to explore data in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

If Automatically open data when added to the project is not selected under Tools ► Options ► Data General in SAS Enterprise Guide, then you will not be able to explore SAS data sets.

Specifically, the data set does not open when you attempt to explore data using either of the following two methods. There is no error.

  • Selecting File ► Open ► Data Exploration.
  • Right-clicking on the SAS data set from the Server List and choosing Explore.

In order to explore data, you must select the Automatically open data when added to the project option.
